The Opposite boardgame

Gegenteil-Spiel turns familiar tasks upside down with counterclockwise board play, reverse logic and a race to lose points instead of collecting them. On the board, each player starts at 25 and moves toward 0, while the round marker in the centre determines which challenge category comes next and keeps the pace shifting across the table. The set includes 110 cards, 6 play figures, a round marker, 1 colour dice, 1 eye dice, 1 game board and 1 game pad. The 6 categories create distinct actions in play: words are written backwards, arithmetic signs are swapped, terms are drawn as their opposite, directions are reversed, pantomime flips the original meaning, and colour tasks use complementary colours. In each round, 1 player leads the task while the others solve, grab, call out or write their answer, which gives the game a strong mix of speed, observation and creative thinking. The board game can also be combined with the card game version when both are available. With 3-6 players, ages 10+ and an approx. 30 minute play time, Gegenteils-Spiel suits family tables, group rounds and game nights with friends. A notepad and pencils are used during several tasks, which adds quick writing and sketching moments between dice rolls, movement and shouted answers.
