Lesen is an educational game for 1-4 players aged 5+ that turns early reading into an active tabletop exercise with picture cards, word strips and large letter tiles. Learners match illustrated cards to the correct words, place letters onto printed spaces and work with the first sound of each term through the Anlaut method, creating a clear link between image, sound and written word. The set contains 81 picture cards, 34 word strips with signal words from the Anlaut method, and 140 letters sized for easy handling. Different sound types are marked in colour, separating vowels, consonants, umlauts and diphthongs so reading patterns can be recognised more clearly during each task. The material supports several exercise formats, from assigning cards to word strips to rebuilding printed words and forming new words independently. It is designed for 1st and 2nd grade practice and follows a systematic educational concept built around repeated reading and spelling tasks. At the table, one round can focus on matching a fish, moon or owl card to its word strip, while another can centre on selecting the right letters to complete the word. In a small group, players can compare solutions, take turns with the tiles and gradually move from recognising whole word images to shaping simple written phrases and short stories.
